Use Viewpoint ADS, scopes and zeroing

Build 42.21 · ZombieBuddy v2.3.4 · Sources checked October 7, 2026

The short answer

With Recoil & ADS active, raise a gun with right mouse, then press V for sights under the default mode. Configure the mode in Settings → Mods → Project Viewpoint ADS. Scope quality and zeroing are separate: real zeroing requires True Ballistics.

Confirm the add-on and its mode

Load the add-on after Viewpoint with ZombieBuddy configured, and review its Java approval on first launch and after updates. Workshop ID 3812612054 identifies Recoil & ADS; Mod ID is ProjectViewpointADS.

Check the installed author's required-items list rather than assuming an old collection is complete. Its current description treats Advanced Movement and True Ballistics as optional integrations; the Workshop dependency panel may list extra items. Resolve that difference against your installed release before inviting a server.

Try a vanilla gun and a known compatible optic first. Set the ADS mode, key and sensitivity deliberately. With a gun in hand, the default V action can take priority over the vehicle radial menu.

Distinguish zoom from bullet zeroing

The documented 1.6 update adds wheel zoom for scopes of 4x or more and Page Up/Page Down zero-range changes. Without True Ballistics, bullets have no drop in this integration and zeroing stays off. A larger image alone does not prove a particular bullet trajectory.

Test in a separate world. Note gun, attachment and mod version if the sight is blank or misaligned; the author's supported gun families do not guarantee every third-party optic.

Scope-only slowdown has its own control

Picture-in-picture draws the lens scene again. Compare High/Mid/Low quality, or turn PiP off, while aiming at the same scene. This is an author-described cost tradeoff, not a measured gain for your GPU.

Check settings for third-person ADS, sway, recoil and clipping before changing the entire shader pack. For slowdown outside scopes use the blur and FPS diagnostic flow. Record a repeatable observation instead of claiming perfect recoil accuracy or universal weapon support.
