Hide Viewpoint results in Project Zomboid Workshop search
Open Project Zomboid’s Steam Workshop and search for -viewpoint, with the minus sign directly before the word. In our browser check, the results page displayed that query and removed several Viewpoint-titled items from the visible popular list. This filters search results; it does not unsubscribe, disable installed mods or identify every mod that requires Viewpoint.

Apply the exclusion in the Workshop
- Open the Project Zomboid community’s Workshop tab, not the Steam store search.
- Find the Search Project Zomboid box.
- Replace its current text with
-viewpointand submit the search. - Check that the results page says Results for: "-viewpoint". If the text differs, correct the query before judging the results.
- Use the visible build/category filters and sort order to narrow the remaining list to your task.
The checked public query is Project Zomboid Workshop with the exclusion applied. At observation it returned 68,237 matching entries under Most Popular (One Week). That count is a dated search observation, not a permanent total or a count of compatible mods.
Understand what the word filter can hide
This is a text exclusion, not a dependency or compatibility checker. A mod may mention Viewpoint only to say it is compatible while still working with the original isometric game. A player in the source discussion points out that excluding the word can hide those useful items too.
Conversely, an add-on may not match the excluded word in the way you expect. Read its original description and required items before subscribing. A page still appearing is not proof it has no Java dependency, and a page disappearing is not proof it works only in first person.
Use an unfiltered comparison when you are looking for a specific item. Do not treat this query as a complete list of non-Viewpoint mods, a permanent creator block or a security filter.
Return to the full list without changing your save
Use Clear search on the results page or remove -viewpoint from the search box and search again. Check any remaining build/category filters separately; clearing the word is not a test that every other filter has reset.
No subscription, world mod list or Java approval needs to be changed for this task. If a feature has vanished inside an existing save, stop changing search filters and use the world activation checks instead.
You are done when the result heading shows the intended query, the visible items suit your browsing task, and you can return to the original list. We checked browser search behavior, not every result or Steam-client version.
Finding a mod is different from choosing a camera
If you want the isometric appearance but still want a rotating 3D world, that is a different task: see the OldPoint overhead camera. You do not have to remove every Viewpoint-related result to make that choice.
If your concern is granting Java files access to your computer, use the approval and trust decision. A search exclusion changes what you browse, not what already installed code can do.
