Viewpoint Wristwatch: check time, set an alarm and restore the clock

Build 42.21+ · Wristwatch author documentation checked October 21, 2026

The short answer

With Viewpoint Wristwatch enabled and a watch worn, hold 9 for a glance or tap it to keep your wrist raised. A digital watch adds Set alarm; an analogue watch does not. This add-on hides the corner clock by default, so restore it in Options → Mods → SEVNCE's Viewpoint Wristwatch if you prefer the normal display.

Use the original watch add-on with the required loader

The author lists Workshop ID 3824119825, Mod ID LiveWristwatch, Build 42.21 or later and ZombieBuddy as required. Project Viewpoint is optional: it adds first-person presentation, focus blur and the nearby label. Do not mistake the whole Immersive Actions collection for a mandatory mod stack.

  1. Back up the world and confirm your existing loader works. Enable the intended item for the save you load.
  2. Review this add-on's Java file identity and approval. A working core camera does not approve every companion.
  3. Wear a watch on your character, then test the wrist action in a safe place. A carried but unworn watch is not the documented wrist setup.

For a missing or blocked file, use the Java loading checks. We have not tested this installation or every watch mod ourselves.

Read the wristwatch or a clock in the room

Hold the default key to glance; tap to keep the wrist up. Aiming or swinging lowers it. The face uses the actual game time and the game's selected time format. On a controller, use Check watch on the Back-button wheel.

In Viewpoint first person, look at a wall clock or a placed alarm clock within 6 tiles. The author says an unpowered wall clock shows --:-- and Stopped. This is different from a watch label that is slightly offset. The reading feature works whether the corner clock is hidden or visible.

Set or disable a digital-watch alarm

  1. Wear a digital watch and tap the wrist key.
  2. Click Set alarm. Use HOUR and MIN on the watch card; holding advances them. The author documents minute changes in ten-minute steps.
  3. Use ON/OFF to choose whether the alarm is enabled. LIGHT controls the small watch light.
  4. Check the selected time and enabled state before leaving the card, then observe the alarm at the intended in-game time in a safe test.

Analogue watches have no alarm in this flow. Controller support covers checking the watch; setting the alarm still needs the mouse. Do not treat the controller wheel as a fully supported alarm editor.

Restore the corner clock and distinguish visual limits

Open the Wristwatch options to change the key, show the game's clock, toggle the time label or looked-at clocks, and adjust depth of field. If the clock vanished immediately after enabling this add-on, its documented default is the first setting to inspect; reinstalling the core camera is not required to change that choice.

The author lists no depth-of-field effect with Minecraft shader packs, approximate label positioning on some walls, and other multiplayer clients not seeing your wrist lift. These are separate limits, not proof that timekeeping failed. Watches with their own models retain their own faces; the author names only specific tested reskins.

You are done when you can read the intended time, choose the alarm state and keep the HUD display you want. If it fails, retain the game, loader, add-on and shader versions plus the exact watch for a report. The collection's Check Yourself and Your Own Thoughts projects are listed as coming soon; this watch does not install those future systems.
