Diagnose blurry Viewpoint graphics and FPS drops
Separate a soft image from a low frame rate. Compare a simple Viewpoint preset in the same scene, then one effect or add-on at a time. Scope-only and storm-only slowdowns have dedicated quality controls; do not delete your save or declare one player's mod conflict a universal fix.

Make the comparison useful
In the October 6–7 questions thread, a player reports blur and intermittent FPS drops. They attribute their drops to Cry of Fear; blur remained unresolved after discussion of motion blur and depth of field. This is a case report, not proof those switches solve everyone's image.
- Record resolution, GPU, preset, shader pack and enabled visual add-ons.
- Use a separate test world with the same location and weather.
- Open Delete and compare Vanilla with your current preset.
- Change one relevant setting and describe the image and frame-rate result separately.
Follow the condition that triggers it
- Only through a scope: compare PiP quality or disable it in ADS settings.
- Only in storms: reduce distant weather quality/effects in True Weathers.
- Only one object is broken: check model coverage and alpha alignment.
- Nothing responds or the game fails at launch: check the loader before graphics.
If a control is absent, confirm the actual mod version instead of searching for an old video label. A dated Dreamy preset recipe may predate the current shader system.
Stop guessing when the baseline still fails
Record the last working stack and the exact action causing the problem. Keep a log from the failed run with your GPU, preset and screenshot. Share this through the responsible author's support channel; do not claim a driver downgrade or larger memory allocation fixes an untested GPU.
See how to collect console.txt before changing more settings. We have no hardware benchmark for this mod or measured improvement from this flow.
