Use Viewpoint Interface for loot, inventory and building
The current Interface defaults use aim-and-scroll to choose an action and E to perform it. I opens inventory, B crafting, K building and H health. This is a separate add-on from QOL; choose its interaction mode and legacy-window options before combining controls.

Choose the interface you intend to use
Load ViewpointUI after Viewpoint, approve its Java part, and use the author's Build 42.21 scope. Workshop ID is 3812616893. Settings live under Options → Mods → Viewpoint Interface.
Aim-and-scroll selects an action beside the crosshair; Hold mode instead uses tap/hold E. Vanilla mode keeps the original interaction. Test a door and a container in safety, then repeat with your chosen mode. Do not mix an older tutorial's Hold instructions with the newer default.
Quick loot shows nearby contents and projected carrying weight. Holding E opens full inventory in the documented quick-loot flow.
Move one item or split a stack
The current author describes Ctrl+drag to choose a stack quantity, double-click to move one and Ctrl+click to move a stack. Test on a harmless item before moving ammunition or medical supplies.
The inventory offers container selection, filters and equipment slots. If another inventory mod supplies the layout you prefer, enable Use the game's inventory windows. Allow legacy UI restores vanilla windows without uninstalling the add-on.
Read the placement result
The building preview uses green for buildable, amber for missing materials and red for blocked placement. E places; the configured Rotate key changes rotation. A visible preview is not an exemption from material or server requirements.
K conflicts with QOL's loot toggle; E can overlap Movement's lean. Review all installed Mods options and select accessible distinct keys. If the prompt disappears after an update, record the mode, versions and exact object rather than promising a reset fixes every case. See QOL defaults and relocated Movement actions.
